I loved it so much! I had a feeling that mirror was the master of the Scarlet Hand. The ending was pretty good as well.

A little dark at times, and the reveal of the parents was a tiny bit underwhelming, but this is a great addition to the series. The boot camp vibes were real and wonderful. When Puck dropped and saved Sabrina... such a good romance subplot!

Just when I thought Sabrina was improving and was finally a tolerable character (in book 7 out of 9)
Spoilerher dad
shows up and is worse than she is. I really can't recommend these books to others because the main character drives me nuts and is petty and selfish and spoiled and yet people keep putting up with her. I'm so close to finishing that I will, but there are far better books for kids to read than these ones.

I loved it when Daphne told Sabrina to quit freaking out in Ch. 1. I also liked her own self-assessment in Ch. 3.

Poor Briar Rose.

If Mirror has the brother all this time, how did he keep the brother alive? Mirror can't leave his mirror. Also, he could have gotten to the Book of Everafter at any time since he had the brother. The little boy could have opened the door.

literally nothing happens plot-wise in this book but it has such a resonant impact on character like michael actually went off with the emotional conversations in this one

This ended the streak of straight bangers in this series. It just doesn't have the same pizazz as the other ones, and I also have some issues with some of the plot point/tropes, and with the way that the female characters are treated that I might write up later. That being said, I do need it on record that I would die for Veronica Grimm
