Meet Me in the Margins was a satisfyingly lighthearted romance set in the publishing world with intelligent protagonists who get tripped up by (shocker!) several unbelievable misunderstandings. Pacing falls off in the last third of the book as our charming protagonist, Savannah, takes a little too long to figure out who the anonymous stranger helping her edit her secret novel is. But, the story was fresh and good intentions abound, and I enjoyed it. It's probably closer to a 3.5 than a 4 ⭐, but I was feeling generous.

This is a fun, quick read about an aspiring writer and her ghost editor. I love me a good epistolary novel and this one is sort epistolary-adjacent as the writer and her unknown editor exchange notes and conversations over the writer's manuscript. I also enjoyed this peeks into the publishing industry (there is nothing more magical sounding than an ARC room) as well as the author's understanding of her audience. A well-placed wink and Hallmark joke did not go amiss! Highly recommend for a fun read in the new year!

*I received an ARC from NetGalley

Cute enough, it hit the spot. Great literature it is not, but it was clean and cute.

Cute but basic
The miscommunication trope is so lazy and overdone, give me a real conflict

Cute premise, but I wish we’d gotten more of the book along with the margin flirting. Also didn’t love the protagonist’s family’s approach to fitness and wellness - from my reading, she is fat shamed (subtly) for being a size 6!

So enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, but felt their relationship was rushed and very surface level. Would’ve loved more meat to them. This easily could’ve been a five star with more development. Still delightful and had me grinning at times.
