there was some angst and pining in the beginning but that was pretty much it. also either ana huang picks a genre or she incorporates both genres well

Ok so it’s more like 3.5 for me. The first half was sooo good like I felt the characteristic pain in my chest that I get when I’m reading something devastating and even shed a tear or two. It was everything Ana promised. But then she kinda lost me in the second half and I think it was because of several things:
- I feel like the divorce was too soon? He wanted to fight for her and then just signed? Idk it seemed out of character
- He didn’t grovel enough for me
- The brother subplot didn’t make sense to me. Like it needed more depth to it

And then there are things that I just can’t get passed cause I’m not sure if I’m just sleep deprived but I didn’t get the following
- Dom didn’t fly to another continent cause Brazil is in America. He just went from North America to South America. Make it make sense
- Why did he “buy a one-way ticket” if he has a jet?
- They said they had to take a bus to get out of the island in Brazil and get to Rio where his jet was but then she said that he flew them out.
- Where did the golden roses came from? Like I just don’t get it

Bur again, I did enjoy it and cannot wait to read the next book.

P.S. Chapter 18: LOL
