Well, thank you so much for this eARC girl. This book was... how can i describe it? Perfectly written of course and with a lot of plot twists. Omg those plot twists in the middle were everything

I received this book as an ARC and was so happy that I did! This is a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast blended with a bit of Norse Mythology, and I found it to be done really well. I actually quite enjoyed the FMC, her strengths and weaknesses due to her trauma were well written. I also quite enjoyed the MMC, sometimes in books God characters can be cold and arrogant, and that is not the case here at all. Their chemistry and relationship growth was spot on and didn't feel rushed or fake at any point.
The only thing I wasn't a major fan of was when the book hit about 90% - it felt rushed after that point, and what could have been another quarter to half of the book was squished into a few chapters. Going from a powerful build throughout the entire book to the culmination of everything basically happening in the course of a couple pages gave me a bit of whiplash. The ending was perfect for the characters and all loose ends were tied up but I wish the last few scenes had been fleshed out just a touch more.
Overall I really enjoyed the book and even a few days later the characters have stuck with me. 100% would read again and have already recommended!

Plenty of fantasy style scheming, blood spilling and raunchy romps. Gods, fae, demons, wargs - a plethora of species all at each others throats. The smut was unexpected but welcome. It did feel a bit Tamlin/Rhys-esque but I still enjoyed it.

Nope. It started out interesting but it turned very cringey and the world building felt off/weird. Didn't end up liking it and skimmed the last 30%. Was really disappointed tbh and didn't like the ending at.all and I also didn't understand it that much.

I’m going to admit I was NOT expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Obviously I’m looking past the painfully cliche storyline/tropes because I had too much fun reading it
