It was good but I wish we got to see the outcome with her parents.

This was a fantastic opposites attract romance. I think that this is one of my favorite Kat Baxter stories but her stories are so awesome that it is extremely hard to choose. The story was really well written and structured, I liked how it was an instant attraction situation but it still had a bit of a build up to the steamy bits. Remy and Ava were just such a great pairing and I loved their story.

Remy, the male lead, has been sent after “runaway” Ava, the female lead, but, when he finds her, he realises that she’s just trying to live her own life away from her controlling parents. He highly attracted and more than willing to facilitate…

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a cute steamy body positive romance. I enjoyed how assertive and supportive Remy was for Ava, and how Ava had already started pushing for her independence and was ready to run with it.

Fast, short and good

Okay this is a very short book and fast paced. However, it’s really pretty good. Don’t want to give much a way. This is a good book to take with you when you have appts and stuff.
The plot was pretty solid for it to be so short. But it was like a snapshot of this one moment in their lives that changed it for forever.
So if you need a quick good read this is for you!!

great instant love

What a great instant love story! I love a military-man and with a curvy girl too? Perfect! This is just a sweet story with no drama! A sweet HEA too!

This is such a sweet novella. Remy is sent on a mission as a favour to find Ava who is presumed to be in danger. When in reality, Ava is just trying to live her best life. Their story is quick and sweet following a love at first sight plot. I do love body inclusion in books and Ava is a larger woman trying to find where she belongs in the world and seems to be happy with her body even though she seems to have some insecurities around her size. Remy says exactly what a woman needs to hear when they don’t feel perfect in their own skin - crushing all the insecurities. I would have loved if this was a full length novel series to be able to see their whole world develop.

I received an ARC from the Author. All the opinions are my own.

This story felt so relateable... well - I mean, a woman trying to make her way into the world and having someone trying to crush her dreams. Ava is an Instagram curvy model that inspires body positivity among her followers. But her parents want her to marry a senator's son and become one of the next Stepford wives. Ava has different plans for her future, so she makes a run for it.

The moment she runs away, her dad (an army veteran) hires Remy to go look for her and bring her back home. Remy does just that, but her dad is not his commanding officer and he is not just a simple soldier. He is a SEAL and an intelligence expert. The moment he meets Ava, he falls for her and her quirky ways. He promises to take her back, but not to her parents - but to where she wants to go. She is not a run-away child who falls into drugs as her parents described her. She is a strong and independent woman, with a career underway, that needs someone to be on her side. Finally, she found that one person - Remy.
