I needed this book.

Is that bad to say?

I think there’s a fog of postpartum that hits, and no matter what I tried it was kind of just hanging there.

This book helped me reset. This book pointed me back to the Gospel that I truly needed to see.

I absolutely loved how they broke everything down, how they took problems that truly are common in motherhood in one way or another and how to point yourself to the gospel in both understanding and in how you can respond. Some sections didn’t apply to me yet as my son is only 6 months, but man was I still glad to read them.

It was such a good reminder of the importance of motherhood and also that it’s not easy and not perfect…which is why we need Jesus.

This book helped me remember where to run when things are hard.

I’ll be returning to this book often I think.

I’ve been following RM on Instagram and listening to their podcasts for years, but just now sat down and read their book. It took me a bit because this isn’t one that benefits by plowing through.

There are lots of good truths and Biblical insight for moms with young children, children with disabilities, and those walking through hard seasons. Would definitely recommend to any mom in the early stages of parenting and would be an awesome small group study!

This was a bit too simplistic and I don’t relate to many of their feelings/fears. I was looking for something to help me actually mother my child, not how I can wrestle through what to feed her for dinner.

This book speaks more to mothers in the early years of motherhood. If your looking for encouragement and have all young children this might be a better fit for you.
