I liked the story, but the names are a bit confusing. A friend said re-reading helps. Seems like a good idea.

Politics and sports.
As with all Ann Leckie, it's very well done, I just think the air is a little too rarified for me on this one. It went right over my head.

A lovely little story in the Imperial Radch universe. Just enough to get me excited to read [b:Provenance|25353286|Provenance|Ann Leckie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1656608941l/25353286._SX50_.jpg|45094649].

February 19, 2018: I will probably come back to this story after I finish [b:Ancillary Mercy|23533039|Ancillary Mercy (Imperial Radch, #3)|Ann Leckie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1493642929l/23533039._SX50_.jpg|43134689].

Another short story set in the world of 'Ancillary Justice' or at least, so they say. I never really saw any indication of it. The names of the characters are an interesting concept, but also too confusing (the character names are all along the lines of 'She Commands Me and I Obey'). The story is about the political machinations of a society that solves its political problems via a sports game that ends in death for the players instead of the politician. I guess it could be an interesting concept, but with the name confusion, I sort of zoned out.
