This was a fun middle grade read about a girl named Tilly who starts seeing characters from her favorite books (I.e. Anne from Green Gables and Alice from Wonderland) appearing in her family’s bookstore.
The book felt sweet and whimsical as you see her learn more about her abilities to “bookwander”, and her friend joins in for some hijinks.
The book also talks about some more serious things, as her mom suffered from postpartum depression and had been out of her life for a while. There’s also a bit of an odd storyline about her biological dad...
Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a book I’d recommend for kiddos in late elementary or middle school!

5⭐️ from myself and both daughters (14 & 9). Such a fun story about books and how you can love them and the characters they bring to your life deep in your heart. They begged for more chapters almost every day of this read aloud. We will definitely be grabbing the 2nd one and can’t wait to dive back into the wonderfully, magical world of book wandering. (Kindle via library).

I loved this book. I love the idea of wandering in different books. Can you imagine going into your favorite books and talking with the characters and sharing their world ?!? This book takes you on a journey of a little girl named Tilly, discovering that she can wander into books, learning the history behind her parents, and a trusted friend betraying the family. I love the friend, OSkar, that helps discover this secret and the support that he provides to her. This is 1 of 5 books in this series with the next book being about fairy tales. I’m not one to read a series back to back, but I’m excited to read more about this storyline eventually.

I wanted to find a book similar to Jessica Townsend's Nevermoor series, this didn't quite live up to that but I have very much enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

A delightful romp through the bookish worlds of Pages & Co. I adored the elements of adventure, curiosity and friendship that was fostered throughout this book - and I was left feeling happy and a little envious of the book wandering ability. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series, because there is so much scope for adventure.
