“I gave you a taste of your own medicine, did you like it?”
I enjoyed this thriller, told from POVs of the mother and her 3 triplet adult daughters. Jennifer, the mother, has just been told she has six weeks to live due to a brain tumor. She happened to stumble upon last years medical records and noticed the amount of iron in her blood was astronomical. How did this go unnoticed.
Filled with twist and turns, this was such a highly consumable book that I read in one sitting. 4.5 stars

4.5 stars. This was a fun one! It started strong. The middle had me a bit bored, but the ending brought this back up from the solid 3 star range. It wrapped things up nicely and was satisfying- kind of in a satisfyingly unsatisfying way. I didn't see the twist coming- and I pride myself on figuring out "who dunnit!" Would recommend for your summer reading list.

Catherine McKenzie is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors - and she's Canadian!
This book incorporates two things I've always been fascinated with - psychology, and the biology of multiples. Along with complicated family dynamics, this book was almost perfect!!
I would have liked if more information about the condition (which I won't name to avoid a spoiler), details about it, how it manifests etc.
I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Really Emily? You couldn't just confront your mother? You're as sick in the head as she is. Idiot.

Well, that was a.. boring rollercoaster? Very twisty, very turny, but boring.. why was it boring to me....
I liked the "investigation" moments, the tracking the revelations - I had my views on each of the sisters and the husband as well (doesn't history dictate the husband always did it)

Six Weeks to Live is a quick read. The chapters are short, alternating in POV between the terminally ill Jennifer and her three daughters. I was intrigued and curios to find out whether or not Jennifer was poisoned (and if so, by whom). There were also some solid twists throughout. But ultimately, I think this book is more of a domestic drama than a psychological thriller, and it just didn’t do it for me.
