Great story!

Yes this starts off with a BANG and gave a journey filled with angst, love, sexy times and an ending that I was not expecting.

Overall this story is of a regular girl named Wren and a Hollywood star Weston meeting in Vegas and getting hitched.

But what I liked about this book is that it didn't give us the typical falling in love story. There were quirks and tons of OMG & swoon worthy moments that kept me very entertained while reading.

And my favorite I love with my book boyfriends, tons of DIRTY talk!

Weston has such a filthy mouth & I loved it. He can talk dirty to me anytime!

DNF. I wish I would have known the heroine was in HIGH SCHOOL! Couldn't bring myself to read more after that.

The way this book read like a fanfiction-

See, the book follows 18 year old Wren after she drunkenly marries a 31 year old moviestar/producer in Vegas.

Yeah. Literally a wattpad book or something haha.

But I can't say I wasn't entertained. 500+ pages and this book lowkey had me in a chokehold.

My only real complaint would be that I think our Heroine Wren had like zero personality lol. Like, she's just kinda forgettable, but the story was still fun.

The naïveté of the mfc was so absurd it made me want to wack her upside the head every few sentences. Also, it would benefit so much from a dual pov set up.

So good! Younger girl wise beyond her years, older man wishing for normal, unexpected love, all wrapped up in a spectacularly written story with twists and trials along the way. Who could ask for more?

Amazing standalone...

I usually finish a standalone let down and reeling. This one was perfectly finished to not feel rushed. Loved it!!!

I was reminded how much I enjoyed reading Becoming Mrs Lockwood by a friend recently and it prompted a reread of this amazing book. This meant I got to fall in love with the brilliantly written characters and engaging plot all over again.

Becoming Mrs Lockwood is an age-gap, wake-up-married romance with a Cinderella twist as our hero is a sexy Hollywood producer, not that he’d told the eighteen-year-old high school attending heroine. This book is full of angst, drama, suspense and all the feels. I love both Wren and Weston as they are so relatable throughout the book; Wren in wanting to make the marriage work but then putting herself first and Weston in falling back into the patterns that have developed over his adult life. They are dynamite together and their journey was a fun adventure with many sweet, heartwarming moments. This book also had some great secondary characters and I loved their dynamic with Wren and Weston.
