Shay a seemingly ordinary girl - other than her best friend being a ghost. I really loved this book it didn't turn out how I had expected it would. I found myself enthralled by Shay's character before the end of the first chapter!

Reveal was an absolutely brilliant book to read. I really liked Shay and her ability to talk and see ghosts especially Jeremy who seemed to grown up literally with her. When she meets Hugh in person after seeing him a few times around and totally crushing on her she couldn’t believe her luck but who knew that he was like her. It was amazing. But then there was the darkness and can Shay and Hugh defeat him? and what are Cryptids? You will ind out when you read it and you will be left, like I was, wanting more.

I really like how Brina wrote this, it flowed well there was no dull bits and it kept me hooked til the very end.

It was so good I have just purchased book 2 and 3 in the series.

Obviously a beginning of a series, following Shay, a girl who can see and speak to ghosts. This she hasn't told to anyone, in fear of being thought of freaky.

On one of her and best friend Olivias frequent trips to the college campus to check out older guys, Shay takes a shine to one guy, Hugh.

Shay works at an antique shop and Hugh comes in to buy a gift for his mum and they begin to talk.

Shay stumbled across Hugh talking to the same ghost that Shy has spoke to since she was a young girl. Hugh has the same gift!
Hugh "kidnaps" Shay to take her to visit his parents and for Shay to find out more about who she is and what she can do.

It was a great background and beginning to what seems a great series.
Very easy to read, well written and likable characters.

Looking forward to reading the next in the series!

A good book to pick up when you don't have a lot of concentration but fancy starting a nice easy series. Can be put down easily and picked up again and be sucked straight back into the story!

This is the first book I have read by Brina Courtney. And I really, really enjoyed it and cannot wait to read more of her books. I ultimately love the paranormal feel to this book as well as the romance feel. Even though I do not believe you can love someone you have only met a few times, it was a very good read. I would recommend this book to anyone who like paranormal romance novels.

I guess this was ok. I think it was a bit more mature then most YA books I've read, but it wasn't graphic. The insta-love didn't bug me since that's pretty normal for this genre, but the intensity of it was really over the top. I also had a hard time caring about the villain. He was just too vague. I feel like the author spent a ton of time on silly stuff and not enough on plot development. So even though this ended on an extreme cliffhanger, I don't care enough to find out what happens next.

Liked It

It was thoroughly entertaining for me, but I love Ya and Paranormal, so this book was perfect for me. Shay can see and talk to ghosts. Matter of fact she grew up with her best friend being a ghost named Jeremy. It's a good book, it had everything I enjoy reading all wrapped up into this one book. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys these genres, Young Adult Paranormal Romance, is exactly what this book is. 💖💖💖💖

Interesting, but I'm not into the story enough to read the rest of the series.
