Maddox and Devon truly were written as an enemies/haters to lovers who remained haters which was top tier.

A very toxic relationship but in a consensual way? Definitely subscribed to that toxic masculinity mindset but I still found the relationship somewhat interesting.

Garron Park is not the most pleasant place to live. But sometimes the chips fall where they may. Tucked away in the trailer park are Xavi, Devon, Maddox and Nate. They forged their own family amongst the 4 of them and make it work.

Devon and Maddox have hated each other since they can remember. Rivals on the race track, with girls, in life. They live to make the other one miserable. But what is that hate? They discover it may be something so much more.

I love the banter. The hard shell outside, soft shell inside parts of them are beautiful. They struggle to define what they are to one another, but does everything need a label?

This was a great, hard fought love story with super angst, meddling and caring older brothers, jerk fathers and some redemption. And it's 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

My boys!! God this was a insanely good book. Maddox and Devon are the most chaotic characters. They're the products of their environments but still full of love not that they really know that. Maddox Kane my boy!!! He would literally do anything for Devon and kinda does for real. Devon is surprisingly insecure. He even knows he might be a bigger asshole than Maddox but he can't let him go. Xavi and Nate are ridiculous best friends and older brothers. Esp Xavi they do tend to read more as best friends than siblings to Maddox and Devon but not in a bad way. I'm super excited to see where this duology goes bc im already so attached to this idiots.
