This review is for 'Among the Dawn-Red Clouds' by R.K. Nickel!
This guy is going places! And I'm not just talking about the character in his short story, who is a pilot and spends a lot of the story going places. I'm talking about the freshman author RK Nickel, who has executed a truly moving exploration of a man living beyond his time. Despite the fantastical setting, he tells a human story, underlining the universality of our experience in time and the way our bodies and minds react to age and change. I look forward to reading more of this guy's stuff!
