I wanted to love this book. I love the story and the movie and the inspiration. I loved learning about this group of invisible women and their impact on history. But when I read a book of history, I want the author to use historical methods, and this author was a little too liberal with her opinions about people's thoughts and motivations. If that kind of thing doesn't bother you, you'll probably love this book as much as I wanted to and you should spread the word.

This book isn’t my usually read but I was given it for a book club. The history in this book is so rich - so many things about the United States I was never taught in an academic setting. It’s both unsettling and inspiring.

Listened to the version read by Robin Miles. Narrator did fine, typical nonfiction narrator, definitely needed to speed it up. Enjoyed the content, especially enjoyed that it was a more expansive picture of what was going on in the community at the time. However it was long, and some times rambling which made me loose interest - especially after I had trouble with my download.

This is a DNF for me right now. It isn't bad, just putting me in a huge slump. I think that I am going to have to physically read this just due to technical phrases and names. I enjoyed the movie so I am hoping to pick this back up at a later time!
