A thoughtful and thorough book for the suicidal, once-suicidal, or may-one-day-be-suicidal person, especially if they are trans or queer. There is a lot of focus on identity through the first half; the second half (with the 101 alternatives) is honest and realistic-- Kate speaks from experience, and I've also used these alternatives (without labeling them at the time). The book left me with a lot of things to think about.
