This was going to be a 3.5 until the last few chapters. They really saved the slump this book would have fallen into.

If we are still ranking Horseman Husbands
1. Pestilence
2. Famine
3. War

The second book in this series, War, fell a little flat for me so I was really hoping this book would not let me down! And, I have to say, Famine was excellent! The characters were actually relatable, lovable, and did not at all lack depth! I also found it refreshing that Famine did not give up his mission simply because he finally saw the good in humanity like his brothers. Instead, it was mainly because of his want to protect and respect the main female character. This book also set the reader up for the last book in a fun way! I feel as if everything has been tied together well so far! I am excited but also saddened to read the final book in the Four Horseman series!

This is definitely the best of the series so far. I must admit that famine is INCREDIBLY attractive, and the dynamic between him and Ana is perfect. The ending was amazing! It brings a new, refreshing twist to the books and promises something different besides the same algorithm that these books have followed thus far.

Higher rating because Famine didn't change. Also responsible sexual behaviour discussions pre-coitus 👍 But God, was that FMC annoying.
