Well now. This was a very different story to read. I instantly fell attracted to the storyline, Paranormal ghost hunting. I had a little clue that this book might have some exciting entertainment and it did. Selene and her partner slash boyfriend made enjoying this book so much fun. The conversations between were so simple, casual and calming. There were no dramatics or historical outbreaks, just two people who completely new each other. The characters are very intriguing, most of them brought mystery to the paranormal investigators. The story reads like a sleuth story, but I found it to be an interesting read.

This was a little better than the first. I do like a nice mystery but something about it felt a little predictable but it was enjoyable.

Love this series. Curvy black girl bookish red head. Magic and some light spice.

(I received the ARC so I'm super biased. But I also bought the physical copies and I requested an ARC after reading the first one)

Am I surprised that this book was as good, if not better than the first one? Nope. Most of the time, I fear that the following books couldn't live up to the hype of the first one, but not for this series.

I was lucky to find out about 'Black Witch Magic' (the first book) barely 2-3 weeks before the release of 'Black Moon Rising'. I couldn't believe how addicted I was about Selene and Aiden's story and I almost cried when I saw that the second book was to be released only a few weeks later.

Like the first review I posted, this book is addicting. I had to put it down and force myself to not read it in one go.

The paranormal gave me chill, the love story felt natural. I appreciated the realism in Aiden and Selene relationship. They may have encountered a few obstacles but they came out stronger which is a plus. I love some functional relationship and mature characters.

I know for a fact that I'll read them both again especially before the next release.

This is a fun paranormal investigators series. This one felt spookier than the first book. I am sure I’ll get to the third book soon!

"As we will not give away the plot, we want you to have fun reading it. By the fifteenth chapter, you will be on the edge of your seat. At that point in the book, it was so complex and full of suspects that it reminded me of Clue. I, personally, had no clue who the perpetrator was. I was engrossed in the story just as Aiden and Selene were. Much of their allure is due to their status as Mulder and Scully characters." https://thedailyfandom.org/black-moon-rising-mila-nicks/

An easy, breezy read. I liked this episode better than the first one.
