Slow beginning, rushed ending. Not terrible but nowhere near the previous either.

Once again this book was everything I wanted it to be. I adore murderbot and Martha Wells does such a fantastic job condensing big ideas into a small complete story. I especially love watching the larger story unfold and it feels a bit like reading a Sherlock Holmes book.

I don't have much to say other than Wells continues to deliver on the promise of previous Murderbot entries, while also diversifying Murderbot's personality.

In this installment, Murderbot gets attached to a team of humans and a human-form bot whom they treat as a friend. Combat ensues courtesy of the evil GrayCris corporation, resulting in a gut-punch of an ending. As Murderbot would say, I need to go have an emotion in private.
