Intriguing and confusing in equal measures.

This was not at all what I expected (as is the same for the following two books I read!), but in the end I found my self fully invested. The length of the novel makes it an immersive experience, sometimes one that I became lost in, but all in all it provided me with an important insight into a time/place/lifestyle that I knew very little about !

الكتاب عبارة عن سرد لأحداث حقبة تاريخية تبدأ من خمسينيات القرن الماضي في الصين و مدى تحكم الحزب القومي الشيوعي على بقية الشعب حيث تم إرغامهم على بعض الأمور التي لا يقبلونها لمجرد إظهار الولاء بالقوة

الكتاب ليس مؤلما أو محزنا في سرده بل على العكس يناقش الأمور بشكل فكاهي يظهر تقبل الشعب البسيط لمظاهر القوة و التغيير
