This book crept up with a quiet five ⭐️ family story.

Do publishers require that each book have an "epilogue"? I ask because the final chapter of this book was titled as an epilogue. It was just the finishing of the arc of the story, not an extra wrap up. It didn't go beyond. Other than that, this was a heart twisting book of abuse, love, and family. Tessa is the only character that the reader really gets to know, but those around her are well developed enough to make for an engrossing story where you feel for all the characters. This was a great read to get lost in!
