Half Moon Holler by Taryn Bradley is the first book of her Half Moon series and I have to say this book surprised me of just how good it was. Who doesn't love a damsel in distress (Prada) who took a wrong turn and lands in Nate's office, her crooked boyfriend wanted by the feds, plus Rita Mae's cafe which is straight from my childhood. Should I mention that Nathan has the best pets ever in Blue who can shift loyalties in seconds and of course Mr. Whiskers who loves whiskey so much that everyone needs sippy cups to keep him on the "wagon". There are more citizens with each of their own quirks in the little town of Half Moon Hallow that'll keep you in giggles through the entire book. Oh, did I mention that Nate's Grandma Suze is a hippie artist who had me wishing that I could meet her.

Nothing much happens in Half Moon that Nathan owner of the auto repair shop plus a leather works business on the side and his best friend Bubba who with his sister have the only tow business. But when a Jaguar S-Type comes in with Bubba little does he know that Cassandra Jane Reimer (AKA Prada) will not only bring the car but also her fantastic pies but will show all the businesses in Half Moon that they are worth getting folks off the interstate to visit the town. He'll offer his Love shack to stay in and possibly lose his heart to Prada/Cassie. But they'll have to navigate the FBI who thinks Cassie has her ex's gun running information but she had no idea that Paolo did for money. There will a trial once the feds find Cassie is found and a surprise ending but when she falls ill everyone in the town will rally to take care of her including finding her dad.

Trust me when I say I loved this book so much I already have the second one on my Kindle and hope that Ms. Bradley continues the series with the rest of

This book is definitely one of a kind and it is just magical. Nate and the rest of Half Moon are a delight! When Cassie has a car mishap and ended up at Nate's Auto Repair Shop, well then this lovely novel gets really, really interesting. The plot is well written and developed. The characters are just wonderful. The storyline will keep the reader's attention and interest.

I loved this book!! I just stumbled upon the book while trying to find my next KU read and thought I'd give it a try and am so glad that I did! I loved the idyllic and cute small town setting, and all of the side characters and towns people. The story was absolutely charming and fun. It was all told in Nate's POV, and he is so funny...loved getting his take on everything that was happening (and not happening lol)! I usually like dual POV, but I really didn't even miss the other POV in this story. I loved the way Nate told their story. The whisky/sippy cup stuff was so flipping funny, I totally loved it. I laughed out loud a lot while reading! Speaking of Nate, he was total book boyfriend material and I loved Cassie so much as well. When we were first introduced to her I was afraid she was going to be an uptight snob, but she was the total opposite. She was exactly what the town needed, and the town was exactly what she needed too.
If I had to name one complaint about this book, it would just be about the heat factor. It was absolutely a slow burn, which I don't mind, but once we finally got a sex scene, that was about it. There was enough book left to give us some more heat, but we didn't really get it. So if you love lots of heat and sex scenes in your romances, this one might be a bit tame for you. It was still so good though, and I was ok with the lack of spicy scenes because I loved everything else so much. I'm excited to dive in to book 2!
