I wanted to read this during the anniversary year of the moonshot, but I probably choose poorly. I didn't realize until later that this was a companion book to a television show about the moon landing, and that's probably why I didn't love it. It really only covered the story on it's surface, so I wish I had chosen something a little more in depth. My favorite part of the book was the discussion on the scientists in the very early part of the twentieth century who pioneered the science that made rocket flight possible. That part was the most interesting and worth further study.
