I have truly enjoyed delving into the Agatha Raisin series, and The Witch of Wyckhadden was another fun mystery.

Agatha decides to nurse her wounds from the previous story in the seaside retiree resort town of Whykhadden. She reluctantly and quickly makes friends with a group of semi-permanent residents who live in the same hotel where Agatha is lodging. It’s not long before Agatha finds herself fantasizing about a new love affair with the town’s sergeant inspector and (you guessed it) in the center of yet another murder mystery.

This was another funny and enjoyable book. I liked the new characters and setting in this book, but I was ready for Agatha to get back to the Cotswold and to Carsley and her cats! It’s nice to kick back, listen to Penelope Keith’s humorous narration and shake my head at Agatha’s missteps and foibles.

Always a pleasure to read Agatha Raisin story. A quick read and break away from the stressors of 2020.

This was my least favorite Agatha Raisin book so far. Agatha doesn't really stand alone. She really needs James &/or Charles or even Mrs B to play off of.

Audiobook narrator Penelope Keith does an excellent job as usual. However, the production values on this recording were substandard. Lots of mid-paragraph pauses that seemed like maybe page turns that normally wouldn't have been left in.
