I think reading the first three books in a row got me stuck halfway through this one. I could've stopped after the second one, honestly, but I still love what I read. Just can't get back into it for some reason. I've also watched some reviews of the series pointing out valid reasons why it's a bit problematic, so maybe that had a hand in it? Not sure, but the first 2 books will always have a place in my heart.

The drama in this installment was a bit messy but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I also love the progress between poppy, cas and kieran’s relationship. Especially in the scene where kieran worried about poppy having to protect herself in their homeland even though she shouldn’t have to. AND when they rescued her
