I loved it.
Seth's death was a plot device. Change my mind. You can't cause I'm right.

I'm rereading this triology and i am having the time of my life. The writting is very basic, but nora sakavik really does  know what we readers want to read, and that's why this book is soooo fast pace. I was having a reading slump, and this series was just what i needed. Now I’m actually excited to continue my TBR!!!!
Most of the characters are/were fucked up. I mean…👀

Neil still remembered Kevin's breakdown […]

And this😌

“God damn it, Minyard. This is why we can't have nice  things”
“Oh, coach,” someone said over Neil’s  head. “If he was nice, he wouldn't be any use to us, would he?”
“He's no use to us if you break him”
“You'd rather i let him go? Put a band-aid on him and he'll be good as new ”

Boy oh boy, it has been a long time since I was so totally sucked into a book. I’m not a sports person, and I was a little hesitant about reading it at first, but it pulled me in completely.

I can’t quite put my finger on why it’s so compelling. It’s got sports and murder and messed up characters, and many twists and turns. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and I read it every moment that I could. Read this book!

I didn't know anything about the book at the start but it was recommended to me so I decided to read it. It took a while for me to get into the story but by about half way through I was invested and wanted to know what happens. Do check the trigger warnings for this book.

A friend censored the particularly violent parts for me, which I appreciate greatly. The sports part made me think of Haikyuu and I’m sure I’ll be just as obsessed with this series as that!

Read For:
Gay Sports
Hurt/Comfort
Chaotic Gays
Found Family
College Setting

This book is addictive and all things chaotic from the characters to the plot.  While it is filled with problems and poor choices it’s such a comfort series that I couldn’t imagine not re-reading it time and time again.

While there isn’t much that happens in this book (compared to the other two in the series) this book gets the setting out in place, you get to know the characters and no I have no idea why Nicky is so damn creepy in this book but trust me he gets better in the other two books.

It’s fun re-reading this series because you can see the slow burn settle in while if you’re reading this for the first time you’ll be just as confused and oblivious as Neil.  It’s truly amazing.
