Zoey is not having the most festive December. After a big fight, her boyfriend left and no matter how much she misses him, he is not coming back. Then at a Christmas Parade, when she had to be on stilts, she was hit by a bus, just a moment after seeing her BF, happy with someone else.

But she gets something special, a second chance. If she manages to help 6 couple find their true love until Christmas, she can live, if not she will die, this time for real.

Fancy sports watch that her horrible BF got her because she supposedly eats too much cake ( he is a real jerk), now tracks the love matches she makes.

She is excited to help people find love, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Especially because she spends a lot of time trying to be the perfect girlfriend to a man-child.

During this challenge, she finds her self-esteem and gets much-needed perspective, as well as finds love in an unexpected way.

It's a lovely, magical story full of Christmas spirit and love. Reading it made me so excited for the holidays. Zoey is a very interesting character. I had trouble liking her at first, she went through so much trouble just to be someone who is not good to her and to please a guy who couldn't care less, but she grows so much during the story, and find her true self. It's one hell of a character ARC.

Highly recommend it!

I spent most of the book being frustrated by the main character and her lack of awareness to every single person she interacted with.
She says Eloise is her best friend but Eloise was barely in the story more than any other characters there was really nothing that said "this is zoey's best friend". No one had a personality and I can't believe it took an entire book for her to finally lose it at Scott.

Okay, this one is a little cute.

The story is basically about this girl name Zoey, who had a little accident and was given another chance to live only if she could successfully pair or matchmake 6 couples.

First of all, why does it have to be 6? It felt like there were too many characters in the book that halfway through the story it was really hard to keep track who’s who. There are coworkers in the book, neighbors then friends of friends. Too much. The side stories were okay but maybe 3 or 4 couples would’ve been enough.

I don’t know if I like the main character either. She’s too naive and she just lets her boyfriend push her around. Her character was very frustrating to read.

Other than those two things, it was a very festive read. Love the holiday vibes in the book, the elves, the Santa, the holiday drinks & all other activities brought up in the book like the wreath making activity, karaoke and the holiday escape room! I enjoyed the Christmas spirit :)

I picked up 'The Christmas Cupid' due to its catchy slogan and just the whole premise. Sadly, it fell flat to me. I didnt gain attached to the plot or any of the characters. It started interesting but as it progressed, I just felt bored. Maybe some people will love this book, but it's a no from me.

3.5 rounded up.

A British woman gets a second chance at life and love in this holiday story that sees Zoey being hit by a bus on Christmas Eve and being tasked with matching six couples in order to get her life back. This story gave me lots of Drop Dead Diva vibes and I enjoyed it for the most part but I did really wish Zoey had figured out sooner that she deserved more than the toxic relationship she had with her boyfriend. Good on audio, this was a light-hearted holiday rom com with some fun moments (ie the escape room scenes). Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review.
