The supernatural side of the story comes a little out of nowhere and doesn't entirely seem to fit with the tone of the story, but once Zoey begins her second December and her matchmaking mission, I got much more into the concept. I did struggle with the way she panders to Scott, who is clearly an arse, but it does fit with managing her heartbreak and leads to a better place.
After the initial surprise the book just got more festive and joyous. Some of the attempted matches were brilliantly misplaced, and Zoey was definitely a little blind to a few people's true natures, but the way things begin to work out is so lovely. And I was particularly pleased by the epilogue which filled me with Christmas joy!
A sweet, simple but really lovely Christmas book that's the perfect December read.

The FMC was so unbearably stupid and her boyfriend had literally no redeeming qualities so why the hell did she spend so much time fighting for their relationship?!
Also I don’t know any adults who have that much free time for spontaneous activities every day of the week in December.
Felt like a waste of a really fun premise.
