Thanks Netgalley for a free read in exchange for a review.
My first by this author and a great read. Storyline was easy to follow and this book stayed well within the genre. This book was really well written and the story premise was very good. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. The cover was okay and the title was great, but the synopsis was what really caught my eye.
Best line.... Risa " I don't think we should have apocalyptic sex" I think that conversation in general was all around funny. So Teague is a lawyer, trying to stay on the straight and narrow because he has political hopes, he goes to Vegas for a wedding only to get drunk and meet the girl that would change his life forever. I loved it, read it straight through in one sitting, and my overall entertainment value is four and a half stars.

Sweet Southern Betrayal has just a bit of suspense mixed in - it's hard not to when you have a Vegas dancer making deals with a mobster who is trying to get some dirt on a DC lawyer - sounds a bit like something you'd see on a TV crime drama. I'm glad that Robin Covington didn't overdo this aspect of the story, but just let it hang in the background and linger while Teague and Risa figure out thier life - together or not. These two characters really shone through for me. Risa was who she was and she didn't care if you approved or not. Her small business venture led to quite a few humorous scenes as well, it's great when a book can make you grin or chuckle.

Having not read the previous books in the series I can say this does well as a stand alone, but it does make me want to go back and read the others to see what I may have missed. The few side characters that really stood out were a bit stereotyped, but I think that helped make them who they were as well. After all, how many ways are there to write about a creepy Vegas mob boss. With a really sweet ending straight out of my one of my favorite classics, this one was really close to getting a fifth star.

One word: Wow!
Robin Covington’s writing is superb and I was panting for more by the time the book was finished. This book had everything you’d want from a romance novel. Sexy, enticing, with just a little bit of dirtiness to make you feel all hot and bothered. With a very sexy male hero that made me weak at the knees and a heroine that was sweet and honest but just kept getting herself in the wrong situation, it had the perfect recipe.
I’m a sucker for a southern gentleman and Teague sure as hell portrays my perfect idea of one. He knows what he wants and works hard to get it, but when life takes a turn and surprises him for the worst, he tries to handle the situation, but he doesn’t get a hold on it. Not surprising, since it’s kind of a big surprise to find out you married a Vegas showgirl on a drunken night out with your buddies.
Risa is a feisty redhead, who not only dances as a showgirl, but also owns a business selling tasteful “marital aids”. Not really the kind of career to have when your new husband wants to President someday. Risa is a very personal character, she’s amazing but her life is a complete mess. She appealed to me on so many levels. She’s a good person and she really goes out of her way to try to make things right. But when the marriage they’ve kept a secret comes out in the open and she starts to fall in love with Teague, everything turns around. Teague doesn’t believe he is capable of loving anyone and I don’t blame him after how his parents’ relationship turned out.
The storyline was perfect, the suspense kept me going and the loves scenes were steamy. I’m struggling to write this review, because I know it won’t do the book any justice, but here I am, trying my best to convey into words how amazing, how fantastic, and how satisfying it was to read it.

O.M.G...

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and holy moly, Robin didn't disappoint me. It was one of those books that I just couldn't put down once I started reading it, and it kept me flipping pages till the very end.

Teague is so amazing and Risa made him the man that he wanted to be. I loved Jack and Lucky, but Teague will always be my favorite.

She had a troubled past and he only wanted the partnership at the law firm. She thought she didn't fit into his plan and he thought that he couldn't love someone. Man they were both wrong, because they fit together perfectly and were meant for each other.

"You are my soul and my heart, and I need you, Risa. Please marry me." Teague Elliot... This was one of my things that Teague said to Risa.

Teague Elliott, a successful DC attorney looking toward making partner at his firm and eventually making a run for the presidency, loves power and fixing legal problems. A trip to Vegas takes him down a few pegs when he wakes up beside exotic dancer Risa Clay – with no memory of the night before. “No harm, no foul,” they say as they go their separate ways.

But everything is not as it seems. Risa owes a mob boss pictures of her night and trumped up Vegas wedding with Teague in exchange for the ten grand she borrowed to pay for her friend’s rehab.

When a distraction allows her to flee from the mob boss, she goes to Virginia to warn Teague. Their smoking hot attraction goes super nova, putting all Teague has worked for in jeopardy.

Risa’s character and integrity, as well as her past mistakes, are called into question. And the mobster wants payback.

Covington’s page-turner of a novel kept me intrigued from start to finish. This is a steamy read with strong language and leap-off-the-page characters. Another winner from a fine writer.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This book was a 3rd in the "Boys are Back in Town" series. You don't need to read the previous two in the series to read this book, but I highly recommend it. The story of "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" does not apply to Teague Elliot. A lawyer with major political ambition with no time or wanting for love get crossed with a "Mob Boss" and a "Showgirl." The showgirl comes to the little town of Elliot and rocks Teague's world. Not only is she a self made girl but Teague's total opposite. Mix this with his small town and the dealings with Washington and there are sparks.

This book was a fun ride, as are all of Robin's books. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Robin's books are like potato chips, once you start reading them you can't stop.

Swoon! This author is amazing! How she can get so much goodness in such a small package is beyond me. I loved, loved, loved this book! I know, I'm using too many exclamations, but I can't help it! I inhaled this book, along with the others in the series, and I'm sitting here wanting more. Each book is better than the last, and I can't wait for the next in the series. These characters are so fun and the world created by Robin Covington is a great escape. Read, and enjoy!
