Re-read note: sadly I noticed there was some vaccine misinformation in this story, not covid but relating to autism and childhood vaccinations. At the time this story was published, the link between autism and MMR vaccines had been disproved multiple times. Science is fact.

I eagerly anticipated this book and wasn't disappointed. It doesn't take long for problems to arise for Brooke and Remy, but they approach some of their issues differently than Real. There were some scenes I particularly enjoyed and I think I can write this without spoiling scorpions (brilliant storyline), final fight and the letter. Katy Evans writes real narrative with emotion, passion and occasional humour. I love that bipolar is somewhat de-stigmatised in this book, Remy is not defined by his condition and the label he has been given. Loved, loved it!
