Loved the vibes of this book so much and it was a real page turner in the middle third—culty, spooky, kept me on edge. The big reveal kind of lost me though tbh and then the ending was a little too slow and introspective. But definitely a fun and mysterious read for the fall.

I don't usually read mystery/thrillers, but I did this as a buddy read with my sister, and I have to say, this was fantastic!

Secluded cult communities in the woods are a plot line I will always get behind. There was just a touch of magical realism as well. This was just enough mystery and suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat, and I'll be thinking about it for a while.
