Pretty much if you read all the other 2-3 star reviews of this book down below, that's my whole feeling on the series. It wasn't horribly written, the characters are okay, the idea and storyline is decent, but this book had no snap to it.

The first part was really awkward with Penryn being all up in Raffe's business and her random rambles about him touching her, like I was just laughing. He was asleep and then he wasn't and was like "oh my god no" and leaves. None of it really made sense. Her mom suddenly becomes this insanely cool leader and finally protects her kids. I felt like Paige wasn't really a huge part of the story half the time besides her strange locust leader problems.

It was strange to see Beliel be the gateway to hell, like these things coming out of his back, there wasn't a reason for it, I couldn't picture it. About 3/4 of the way through I basically stopped paying attention and skimmed pages. The ending was just meh, nothing really happened and the relationship between Raffe and Penryn was barely there. What was the point?

Overall I really like the first book and half of World After but the conclusion was blah.

This is the final book in this trilogy.

The humans have had the world as they knew it almost completely destroyed by the angels that arrived on Earth. The angels have been playing politics amongst themselves, and the humans are just going to get caught in the cross fire.

Penryn wants to protect her people, but she's also in love with an angel. She needs to figure out a way to help both sides, but at the same time she doesn't know if Raffe will help the humans or just worry about his angels.

This series is pretty gruesome, especially when the characters enter the pits of hell. I would definitely classify this as YA dystopia, as opposed to paranormal romance. The romance aspects exist, but are accessorial to the story.

I really enjoyed this series.

So that was really good. Favorite character: Kooky...I mean Pooky Bear. 😂 and I loved it when she started batting her eyes. 😂
Loved that last chapter. ♄

He sentido mucho.

I wasn’t sure how this could end but it was interesting. Not sure I could follow all of it but it was engaging.

Surprisingly good last book in a series. Once I got into it, I could not put it down. I wasn't sure if I really wanted it to end. The wrap up might have been a little rushed in the last chapter but it still felt right.

I’m giving this two stars.
I wanted to like the ending. But it left so much unanswered and I wish it had closure. It didn’t explain why Gabriel went mad? It didn’t explain why the angels attacked? It just left it all open ended and no epilogue. Disappointed â˜č
