Wow, this is one of the most powerful and beautiful books I’ve ever read. I think everyone should read this book. It is an important history, and it is so well written. I also think the narratives of attempting to reconcile and seek peace and justice amidst this absolute tragedy and horror story are so powerful. And compelling to think about. It challenged me to see the average Israeli’s opinion and hope, despite seeing all of them as the actions of the Israeli government. It challenged me to seek to find solutions and ways forward and towards peace, even as it seems impossible. It is both hopeful and sad. I would recommend this to everyone.
