This was a surprisingly brilliant write, the satire well placed and the message true. The biggest idiot who is a very big idiot probably the biggest idiot in the world should take time and read a simple kids book and realise love is forever and not as long as a tweet.

C’mon! John Oliver getting a team together to create this as a big “Fuck you!” to Mike Pence is beautiful. Take your gay conversion therapy and LGBT discontinuation holla, Pence, and shove it up your butt!

I remember buying this book because the proceeds of its sales went towards The Trevor Project and AIDS United. I though it was absolutely wonderful that John Oliver did something like this.

The book itself is rather cute and fun, and I found myself rooting for little Marlon Bundo and Wesley's love.

I've since donated my copy to my local bookshop where I hope it finds a home with a family willing to be open-minded about love. (I would have donated it to my local library but thanks to COVID-19, they stopped taking donations.)

So the book is just an extended dig at Mike Pence. Not that I have any problem with that--go for it, I say--but I really bought and listened to it for John Lithgow (one of the voices) and the pop-culture currency, not because I expected great literature. So I wasn't disappointed.
