I love reading children’s books. Tasha Tudor is one of my most favorite children’s illustrators! I am working on reading/re-reading her books, and I thought it best to start with the ever-lovely Corgiville Fair.

I read this to the kid I babysit and I was uncomfortable the entire time. There are three corgi sisters, two girls and a boy, and the girls book and embroider while the boy does the cool adventure thing, racing a goat, gets speaking lines, has a 3D personality. Super gross and makes total sense it was first published in 1971

This book is sweet, funny, and nostalgic. Tasha Tudor's art is charming, and the story is funny and cute. Who wouldn't love a story that involves feeding a goat firecrackers/rockets so he can win a race? Tasha Tudor has created a charming little world centered around her beloved corgis, and it's definitely one worth visiting.

Love the drawings. Tudor reminds me of books I read as a child.
