Wow, das war echt ein toller Fall. Vor allem der Anfang hat mich echt geschockt und fasziniert. Allein auf die Idee zu kommen aus Körperteilen ein Gebilde zu bauen, was dann eine ganz bestimmte Sache darstellt. Schon gruselig. Diese Tatorte waren richtig gut inszeniert. Auch das Ende habe ich so nicht kommen sehen. Hat mir seit Langem mal wieder gut gefallen. Aber vielleicht bin ich auch einfach im Momenz in der Stimmung.

Chris Carter's protagonist Robert Hunter has achieved justice once again. My biggest frustration with legal systems across the world is that the punishment for rape is no where near harsh enough for real justice. The rapists get six months to several years and often get out early for 'good behaviour'; absolute bullsh*t. The victim's life has been completely shattered by their perpetrator's actions, and they get away scot free compared to the repercussions of the victim (including often being blamed for their own rape in many different ways by many different people, people misunderstanding that males can be raped too and obviously the extensive psychological issues). This is why when The Death Sculptor concluded, it reinforced what fellow detectives/police officers and culprits alike say to Robert Hunter, that he is a good man.
Many of Chris Carter's novels in the Robert Hunter series deals with issues on a moral and psychological basis. Therefore I was pleased to have my opinion of the victims verified as acceptable when several of the main characters shared my point of view.
The only issue I had with The Death Sculptor is that sometimes I found the plot hard to follow, there were a lot of names to remember but at the end it all comes together and clicks into place.
Overall another wonderful-gruesome beyond measure-read from the Robert Hunter series.
