This series has me in a chokehold. It is absolutely amazing. I can feel the emotions of every character like I am going through them. Ethic is definitely my book husband IYKYK

When I say I'm in love with this Ethic character I mean just that. The man is maning in all ways. I just wish he heal. This was the 1st book that EVER made me cry.

Baby Girl Mo is a lil fast sneaking around with Messiah. But I get “College girls all want a Thug”. I can’t believe that Alani would keep the baby away from Ethic. And to actually involve Bella into her deception is crazy. But from the beginning Ethic and Alani’s relationship was based on lies and deception.

This. Nigga. Here.
Whew! This was a read. A black love story for the ages. The twists, turns, up, and downs of this emotional rollercoaster had me experiencing so many feels. At points I didn't want to put these books down and couldn't. These characters remained with me even in my sleep. This is a story of love, forgiveness, healing, growth, and resilience. Ethic. Alani. Nannie. Bella. Eazy. Morgan. Messiah. Bleu. Isa. Aria. Ahmeek. NYAIR (who I don't think gets enough love). We watch these characters walk through so much turmoil, brokenness, and healing. They grow through it all. One of my favorite things about this book besides the characters and storyline is the accompanying playlists and infusion of music through this story. These books come with their very own soundtrack that has me all in my feels with songs on repeat. If you wanna snot-nose ugly cry, experience full belly laughs, and wade through every emotion with these characters this is the book for you. Our very own black love story. This story has revitalized my imagination and creativity. Thank you Ashley Antoinette for telling our stories with such care and passion. Keep writing! We want more!

Ethic & Alani 💔

I went through so many emotions reading this book. I went thru a phase of hating Alani for being so hard on Ethic! Yes she lost a child but like her Stylist said he was man enough to Admit his wrong doings! She waited to late to want to be inlove despite what happened! She also hid her pregnancy from Ethic he could have kept her safe!!! I was happy Bella found a mother figure in her though. Seem like the hole in her ❤️ got filled quickly! I wish Mo & Siah would tell Ethic already 😩 their love is so strong! I don’t think siah would intentionally hurt her. I can’t wait for part three! The anticipation of this book was already to much for me!!!

Morgan is still getting on my nerves but I can’t wait to read book 3. The way that I’m running through this book. I might finish the entire series in a week. The storytelling is everything. I still have questions.
