This is the first J.T. Ellison book I've read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently it is also the first book she wrote but it wasn't published until recently - it has me very eager to read her other books and the rest of the Taylor Jackson series.

#8 in the series flashes back to the backstory of Taylor & Baldwin. Starting where Taylor killed a fellow officer and Baldwin's FBI team was killed it's a prequel to All The Pretty Girls. A serial killer is targeting Nashville and Taylor & her murder squad are on the case. Enter John Baldwin on loan from the FBI after taking a leave of absence. Both he & Taylor are broken but brought together pursuing the investigation to bring the killer down. Loads of backstory on Taylor, Baldwin, Sam, & the murder squad. Interesting murders and I would actually read this book as the first in the series

A nice return to the Taylor Jackson series. It was a good story and it was great to see the beginning of these characters.

I thought this was a pretty amazing book for her first written work. I'm surprised it wasn't picked up by anyone when she first submitted it.

Yeah, this book! Loved having Taylor and Baldwin's first meeting, and who they were before All the Pretty Girls!

Big big fan of JT Ellison! (Did you know she's a cat fiend?!). I've only recently discovered her Dr. Samantha Owens books. She is such a great character and I was happy to read this book which is more focused on her best friend Taylor Jackson. It filled in some holes and gave a great back story. Can't wait to read more by this exceptional author!

I LOVED this! Such a good "prequel" to the series. No idea why the publisher didn't want it as her first book, but glad it finally made it into readers hands.
