Thank you CeladonBooks for my gifted copy of this arc. I was able to listen to the audiobook while reading and let me tell you, narrator Cassandra Campbell was perfect for this book.

The book hooked me from the start and it grew in suspense the further it went. When a young woman, who isn’t a local in a small upper class community,is found murdered in her uncles home, the police have their work cut out for them.

Told from multiple POVs with well developed characters. This is a slow burner suspense book you will have a hard time putting down.

3.5 stars rounded up. This mystery of who killed a beautiful, unconventional young woman named Eden was well written, with social critique, but also very sad.

Boring. Bunch of rich people in a small town connected by the world's thinnest thread.

I wish I’d read a physical version of the book instead of listening to the audio book. I didn’t love the narration - felt too light/glib for the topic, some distracting pronunciations, etc. Sometimes I felt the same way about how the adults handled situations - like they all were not nearly concerned enough any what was going on around them.

The premise was good and I didn’t guess the ending, which I liked. I had a hard time caring about what happened to any of the characters, especially the teens.

Slight spoiler below:

I don’t understand why one of the main characters remained silent at the end, it made no sense for the story or her character.
