This a fun, uncomplicated, easy to read book. The plot trips along nicely and the two main characters get a lot of chances to interact. I also thought there was very little filler, which was nice. I liked Roxy, most of the time (I found her back and forth a little repetitive and her spikiness grated on me as the story went on). I also liked Louis. I liked how quickly he fell for Roxy, and he did some really sweet, nice things over the course of the book (aside from all the times he messed up, of course!).

Overall, I thought it was cute. I liked it as a set up for the rest of the series - I actually read the first one first. I sort of wish I’d read them in order, because I did like knowing where certain parts of the story went as I read it.

The ending was a little blunt and rushed - I would have liked an epilogue after they got together. Also, there were some small details in it that really took me out of the story - for example,
Spoilerthe scene where he bought her brand new shoes for an audition, and she mentions having blisters from her old ones - it just distracted me as in my opinion there’s nothing worse for blisters than brand new shoes, even expensive ones - and towards the end, when they reconcile, he’s just been eating Cheetos and this just disgusted me as they began to kiss etc. This is a slightly tongue in cheek comment, but I do wish romance writers would think about stuff like that before having it segue into a love scene sometimes! It grossed me out.

I would recommend it if you want a pacy romance that’s sort of cute and has some funny bits.

Idk this one really just didn’t do it for me, felt way too fast paced/unrealistic even for a romance novel. The characters also didn’t really resonate with me, but that happens. I wanted a fast/easy read though and I finished this in a day so huzzah.
