This collection of short stories was exactly the kind of book I needed in my life. To be honest, I'm getting kind of sick of books where the protagonist identifies as LGBTQ and all of their struggles are related to their LGBTQ identity. I mean, I get it, all books need conflicts and we're not exactly at the point where being LGBTQ is completely accepted. But still, I was really just craving some cute, sweet LGBTQ fluffy romance and Summer Love filled that hole perfectly.

I also liked that for a lot of the authors, this was their first published piece of work. It's nice to support a book that has new authors who are interested in writing LGBTQ stories for young adults.

My one complaint is that six of the stories were about boys, and only three were about girls. It would have been nice if there had been at least one more girl-centered story.

But even that one complaint isn't enough to keep me from loving this. Can they please publish a collection for the other three seasons?
