My little brother handed me this book (he's 10) and told me it was full of adventure and I would like it, and he's right. An evil mimic! Plant-people! Clumsy bottom-of-the-class-folks finding out they're talented! Invasion! An android! Sportsball! Saving the world(s)! Space ship shuttles between moons! Kids with terminal curses! Missing sisters! This book has it all, and good art too.

Not a stand alone title, very much introducing the world and characters rather than bringing arcs to a close.

Confusing at times both visually and in the storyline. Too much bold lettering made lines come across as loud and with too much emphasis on unimportant dialogue. Kids will need a much slower introduction to the world to grasp the setting and learn to care for the characters. There are much better fantasy graphic novels out there.

One of the best graphic novels I've read in a while. Can't wait to see how this develops.

Complex story, one you will want to pay close attention to as you read.
Great adventure and mystery. Big cliffhanger.
Hand this to fans of AMULET.

Book one in a new fantasy graphic novel series. Good story, unexpected twists, and exciting action. Could lead to discussions on class differences and prejudice.

I really wanted to like this one more than I did. I’m not sure why it didn’t grab me, but I had to make myself finish it. I enjoyed the last chapters much more so perhaps the sequels will be better.
