Half-star, half-mortal, cute relationships and friendships - what more could you ask for?

But honestly, this book was just lacking something that other YA fantasy books have - higher stakes.

I just wasn’t as entrenched in the story as I should’ve been. Don’t get me wrong, the imagery was beautiful, and I found that characters enjoyable, but the plot just lacked some excitement.

I love how Shveta writes. It's digestable and beauitful. However, the pacing was the main issue I had.
I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but then it dragged a bit and ended very quickly.

But I will be picking up more of Shveta's books in the future.

Not as good as I thought it would be, it ended up being mostly average.

A stunning Night Circus-esque story based on Hindu Mythology which will sweep you away. Although the plot for me was somewhat predictable for much of the book, the authors use of language and the twists and turns in the 2nd half were brilliant to read!!

Got 50% through, kinda lost interest. Beautifully written but I guess I can’t empathize with teen protagonists anymore
