This book contributes a great deal of data to describe the global knowledge (market) economy as one that is situated in a hegemonic relationship between the Global North and the Global South. It applies theory and research to explain how “knowledge workers” in the Global South are responding to these issues. This book has major significance to anyone who is working in academia or other areas of knowledge production. I deeply commend the organization of this book as well as the descriptive methods section (included as an appendix to the book).
