I feel like the graphic novels function as quick primers to whet your appetite to the actual details of the book, rather than a direct retelling of the story. I suppose this is due to the page/panel limits. Still a good and quick read, but if you really wanted the nitty gritty of character development and worldbuilding, the actual books are the way to go. Still, it's nice to see the trilogy illustrated!

The worst of the three for me. The action scenes were cut short and there was a lot of filler scenes. Would recommend the novel over this one.

This could have been so much better. In general, a lot of the key and emotional parts were left out. The story felt rushed and at times, it would jump to fast from one scene to the other; to the point where I felt confused as to what happened before I reached the scene I was reading. I did read this immediately after reading the novel and I loved how names were put to faces and how certain scenes were brought to picture.
