And of course, it ends in a cliffhanger! We get this uber interesting story about Dr. Carter Morelli, of the infamous Morelli’s, about to get into a flight to Africa. He’s escorting a wildlife photographer but there are hidden agendas. He’s not just a boring professor who specializes in rhizomes! He’s a hunk, he’s devious and he’s dark!

Poor June Porter is in for a surprise! Incredibly afraid of planes, she’s about to get into this ultra luxurious but itty bitty plane with Professor Morelli. He’s going to be the pilot and the flight takes 10 hours. But wait! She forgot her Xanax and there’s no time to go get them.

There’s a crash, there’s a kiss, there’s an incredible attraction that is playing hard against Morelli’s concentration and there’s an urgency to fix things. Stay tuned for more action!

Well! This has left me wanting more! I was very excited to see it's part of the Midnight Dynasty saga. This was a short novella and a great introduction of Carter and June, after their plane crashes due to foul play and they get stuck on an island. Can't wait to find out what's in store for them in the next book, Force of Nature. I really enjoyed it but I definitely didn't expect it to end so abruptly. Carter is lush with a devilish, dark and mysterious side hiding under the surface, and June is all sunshine and light with an innocence about her but she's totally on to Carter, she knows theres something more than just him being a professor of biology! I need more! More I tell ya!

Having been reading every book in this interconnected Midnight Dynasty world from the very beginning. It was no surprise that my interest was piqued by Carter. After all, he is from my favorite side of the family. This was a nice sneak peek into what is coming next. I am assuming since both of these authors tend to write trilogies, that this book was just to mainly set them up for their time on the island after the crash. The ending was pretty intense and had me a little angry that it left off at a pivotal point because I really wasn't ready to be done reading. It went by way too fast.

I look forward to seeing what happens next in this story. These two authors will be bringing their A-game and that is very exciting. I am sure that the parts that I wished had been fleshed out more in this 60-page prequel will have more attention paid to the details in the first book.

Carter Morelli and June Porter, the Botanist pilot and the Photographer passenger. Morelli is her escort on a job to photograph wildlife. He is also the pilot of the plane that will get them there. There’s something else about him though..

What the heck! This ending left me saying “what?? Wait.. I want more.. more now please!”

These authors have a great story here. And I loved reading it… I love June and Carter… and I can’t wait to see what happens after “The Crash”… its going to be suspenseful!!!

If I inhale the next book like I inhaled this Prologue Novella then I need to cancel all of my plans. Carter and June have so much tension that their story is going to be one of banter and spice. I absolutely can not wait for the next book to come out! This was such a tease!

Carter Morelli pilots a small aircraft carrying June Porter, a photographer, to a research facility on a remote island. There is a malfunction and Carter makes an emergency landing. The two of them are left stranded in a small, remote island . . . This short novella has whet my appetite and is a teaser for what is yet to come. I cannot wait for the full novel to be released. As always another brilliant read from this dynamite duo who always deliver and are becoming a default one click buy for me for anything written by them.

Heart pounding, sizzling action. My heart never stopped racing through this entire prequel novella.

Carter Morelli is nothing like I imagined, but everything De-lick-ious!!! He's yummy intelligence wrapped up in a super spy package. A Morelli with secrets, I should have seen coming, but WOW, did I love the surprise.

Transporting Jane Porter, a wildlife photographer, on his latest mission when everything goes horribly wrong stranding them both on a tiny island. It wasn't supposed to happen, especially with sweet, innocent Jane in tow, but now they are facing a life and death situation and only Carter knows the truth.

Non-stop, breathtaking action from beginning to end. I can hardly wait for the rest of their story.

The Crash (Deserted Island #0.5) by Skye Warren, Amelia Wilde – She’s just an introvert who likes to take pictures who accidentally let Indiana Jones take her to Africa in a plane! I’m gonna need the next book! Happy Reading!

This book is to a new series in the Midnight Dynasty World and the prequel leading up to Force by Nature. The prequel introduces a new character, June Porter, into the Midnight Dynasty world. Julia Porter is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who is headed to Mauritania on a research assignment for the Biology Department at Oxford. To get there Carter Morelli has to fly her there and she's terrified of flying.
Carter has always been a mystery and now we get too finally know what exactly Carter does because you know it’s not just about plants, especially since he is a Morelli. But the second they meet her sweetness gets right under his skin much to his dismay. The chemistry between Carter and June is electric in this book and I can't wait to find out what happens next as these 2 are stranded on an island after the plane crashes.
