I enjoyed the narrative style of the book and seeing characters develop, though some were somewhat stereotypical. The pace could have been a little faster, certainly.

A non-spoiler content warning for animal death - one of the characters is a pig farmer and there is graphic detail about deceased piglets and animal husbandry.

Spoiler below contains info about the big family secret, so don't read it if you want it to be a surprise! Trigger warnings also contain a number of spoilers but are important to read if you have particularly major triggers as many of the triggering topics included are described in detail.
the twist ending was indeed a twist, but felt unnecessary in many ways. Note that this contains incest. </Spoiler>

Veldig drøy i starten, men ble bedre etterhvert. Foretrakk Erlends kapitler
