An eerie yet intriguing story that left more questions asked than answers actually given.

Good, quick read with a slightly frustrating ending. I was expecting more creepy, gothic vibes than this book actually gives, so I was   disappointed on that front. I also think if Mary Katherine was younger, I would’ve enjoyed the book a bit more. She’s an 18 year old that acts like a 10 year old. That added to my frustration with certain aspects of the book and its voice, since she’s the narrator.

Relatable because I too hate people and want to hide in a house with my only two designated companions I can I tolerate.

Not very spooky, more of a character study

Somehow very gothic and very cottagecore at the same time.

A very accessible and great beginner classic!! Simple writing style and well paced, plot was predictable but the characters and atmosphere were so intriguing

Frequent visits to the wood, and yet, 0/10 🐻. Sigh!

This was a charming but rather dull little book. It was on a list of thrillers to read and while it had some murder and some Suspense About the Murder, it absolutely didn't feel like a thriller to me! More like a funky, darkish little coming of age novella.
