These are the books I always enjoy while wishing I didn’t. Bad for you follows the usual Abbi Glines formula: overbearing alpha male who gets around meets naive virgin and becomes almost immediately obsessed with her. Cue the cringe-inducing use of the word ‘females’, overt misogyny, and the multiple mention of an inner caveman roaring and beating on his chest. Her books would lend themselves easily to a drinking game
And yet… I keep devouring her books and I always enjoy my time reading them. I’ve mustered up the necessary cognitive dissonance to do so and have decided not to look deeper than that
