Fun novella with new lore additions to the Stormlight Archives. I like Rysn and I’m glad she was the star of the show in this one. I enjoyed this more than Edgedancer!
Graphic: Ableism, Violence, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Body horror and Medical trauma

This was such a lovely read! Rsyn has been my favourite Stormlight side character since her first appearance in her interlude, and she really shines here.
The focus on her disability is handled very thoughtfully (at least as far as I can tell) and this story is really easy to burn through.
A perfect balance of character work, an intriguing plot, and lots of worldbuilding packed into such a short story.
I almost skipped this because I was so eager to get started reading Rythm of War - I’m so glad I didn’t.
