"What do you love about the city, Bruce?"

I surprised myself when I realised that Batman Vol 4 is probably my favourite of the three others I've read. I wasn't expecting it to be this one but it is! I just love Batman's origin and even though at this point it's kind of been overdone, my boys (see authors above lol) have breathed new life into it. Bruce is such a complicated character and this comic did him justice! I absolutely loved some of the pages in this, they were truly iconic - they got me showing my sister like 'hey, look at this, Batman just created a blackout in the city in the shape of a bat, isn't that cool?' I appreciate these comics being fun AND being able to express complex personalities and relationships. Love love love.
